Tim Fabian - photographer's showcase

Artist Statement:
These images are intended as visual haiku - of, and yet transcending the subject.

Process Statement:
Rather than abstracting my images from reality I begin with a 4x5 camera and a blank canvas (light table in my case) much like a painter. I add elements, subtract elements and arrive at a final composition, which I then expose onto 4x5 b&w film. After drum scanning the images I inkjet print them on 22x30” arches 140lb hot press paper using archival inks.
